London Fashion Week SS15| Tata Naka

The Tata Naka presentation is always one I look forward to- each season the use of colour, the cut of the garments and general aesthetic works for me, there is always something new or that makes the designer in me take notice.London Fashion Week SS15| Tata Naka

This season there was the usual riot of colour but I was most surprised and pleased by all the black and white.

The Look: Modern silhouettes juxtaposed with pleats. Clean shapes, sleek cuts and florals. Fabrics like Georgette, Silk Neoprene and Cloque Rattan were used.

Even footwear had an update with curved edges, cut outs and peep toes.

The Inspirations: Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid and the ideas of architecture a celebration of the curve and linear.

The Atmosphere and Venue: This season the presentation was held at the Royal Academy with the models standing in front of black and white boards. I personally prefer a presentation as you can see the garments up close, get the shots you need and it is a more intimate way of seeing a collection. Oh and there was ice cream – yes really!
