How to wear a Velvet Suit

 Velvet is one of those fabrics I simply love to wear – sewing it is another thing but I love wearing it. It’s so plush and soft and super comfortable so when I saw this velvet suit on the NEXT catwalk a few months back and like all great sartorial romances I just knew I had to have it in my closet! Nothing says I mean business like a suit but a velvet suit says I mean business and I’m super comfortable and chic. I’ve worn it to meetings to parties and recently with some super sexy heels on a date.

I’ve waxed lyrical enough about this velvet suit it is the bee’s knees – also on a side note NEXT is just killing it each season for me. Little history trip NEXT in Northampton very first store I bought clothing in when my family moved to England 14years ago. It’s a brand that has a special place in my heart add that to the current WOW offerings and we have a winner.

My lovely friend and photographer Joshua and I spent last weekend visiting galleries, eating and catching up much needed after a busy few months! I’m a big Richard Serra fan but has never seen his sculptures in real life so Being so encompassed by them at the Gagosian gallery was amazing.
