The Palace Silema Malta Review

The Palace Silema Malta Review

A few weeks ago I was invited to stay at The Palace Hotel in Silema, Malta. The Palace Silema Malta Review

The Palace is very well situated and is a short walk to the beach it’s also in the heart of the city which made it perfect for meandering around to take in Malta.

The Palace offers a car service that charges 20 Euros to and from the airport. We were greeted by our driver and twenty minutes later we were at The Palace.

As we were early we waited in the lobby and had hot chocolate while waiting for our rooms to be prepared. The staff were very courteous and attentive.

The Palace is a 5 star hotel so I was expecting to be impressed and I was. So much attention to detail has been paid to the hotel and it shows. It’s is modern and funky with fantastic facilities.

Location: The Palace is set way from the hustle and bustle of the waterfront, its set in an elegant nd residential area. It;s a short walk from the waterfront and main shopping area as well and the sea. It is also a twenty minute cab ride form the airport and there are plenty of buses and ferries to take you to neighbouring areas and cities. Travelling through this city would instantly make you fall in love with the many little things. If you’re an avid reader or would like to know more about how to invest in this place, make use of the Malta Guides to learn a thing or two.
Bedrooms: We had a Deluxe room with twin beds. It was a lovely and spacious room with fantastic views from the balcony. All the usual in room amenities were provided as well as a few extras. Next door did have the tv on very loud but after a quick call they turned it down. The bathroom was also a great size and had a bath with a built in shower and a walk in shower.
Public areas: The lobby is well decorate with a gorgeous chandelier as the centre piece.
The hallways are tastefully decorated with varied art pieces.

Eating and drinking: There are a few restaurants in The Palace this allows you variety without even having to leave the premises there is the Talk of Town Cade a chilled all day bar/cafe/diner where you can sit outside and watch the day go by at night it turns into a chic little bar, the Tabloid ( a cafe with outdoor seating that serves Mediterranean dished and the yummiest cheesecake I have ever had) I also just love the decor this is also where the breakfast buffet is held in the morning, On the top floor by the pool there is the TemptAsian restaurant a fusion restaurant that offer many food from the Asian Continent and like everywhere else in The Palace it is beautifully decorated and offers panoramic views of Silema and the Harbour .You can check out the menus here.

Leisure facilities: There is a scenic rooftop terrace with a fantastic infinity pool (unheated) it is so gorgeous up there. There is also a fitness centre, indoor pool, fantastic spa facilities and treatment rooms. I had a pedicure and gel manicure that is still going strong now 3 weeks later. Its worth heading up to the pool area to watch the magnificent sunset

Service: Happy and helpful staff, very knowledgeable about the area and the best places to go. They also printed out various maps for us. The Restaurant staff were also friendly , attentive and courteous.

We had a lovely stay at The Palace Hotel and I can’t possibly recommend it enough.

A massive thank you to Philippa and everyone else who made our stay so great.

Stay tuned for the next post about Malta I’ll be sharing where we went and what we ate.
