Studio Update with Cult Furniture

As many of you already knowI head up a fashion label called We Are KIN, we recently moved into a new studio a few months ago and we were finding it all a little too dull and office looking so a few licks of paint, new drapes and some accent pieces and we’re all feeling very inspired and creative again. Studio Update with Cult Furniture

I usually spend 3/5 days a week working alone as everyone I work with is freelance, I’d love to have my team fulltime by the end of next year though.

After painting the studio I realised that it was looking a little too white and not very inviting – not good in a work environment thankfully I was gifted a few pieces from CultFurniture for contrast I chose some velvet chairs for the desk and stools fir the cutting table. I’m debating ordering the wheeled versions for the machines *not pictured because that corner is super messy ha!

I love the Velvet Moda Armchairs as they are super comfy and great for computer work I usually site here while doing CAD while Em works on marketing.

I also bought some gold accented pieces to complement and warm up our space.

Putting up inspiring imagery, paintings and motos has always been something I do and I find it keeps the vibe very unified as we’re all looking at the same things.

For the big cutting and packaging table on the other side of the room I went for the Moda Stools and in retrospect it was a wise decision as we’d only had backless stools before which meant when drafting for a longtime your back would start to ache – we are all pretty thankful to CultFurniture!

The cutting table is from IKEA, and the bookshelf is one I got from Argos. The vases are vintage and the gold plant pots, mirror  and gold leaf are from IKEA. The WE ARE KIN lightup box is from NEXT.

If you follow us on Instagram then you know Bertha who I purchased back in 2016 from Gumtree. A fullsize mannequin is soo helpful between model fittings as its a standard 8.

The perfect little reading nook. I’m looking forward to showing you more of the studio on social as we add more and really make it our own.
