Investing in your Wardrobe

As a designer I will always extol the virtues of investing in your wardrobe when it comes to timeless pieces, one can build so many great outfits based around some well cut quality pieces believe me, when people see my wardrobe they are pretty suprised by how small it is. Not everyday H&M, Topshop and Zara people, sometimes spend a little more on something staple and not trendled. It’s something my Mom impressed on me growing up and still seeing her still looking super chic with a revolving closet of staples I’m inclined to agree.

Someday it’ll be the MaxMara coat of dreams but for now its this lovely Reiss one; the length, the quality, the cut, the shape, heck even the colour (look at me wearing Navy) just screams longevity. It’s a coat I know will be in my closet for years to come.

These boots are actually comfortable enough to traipse around London in, I am a high heel sceptic and if you are an avid reader of my blog then you know I am forever singing the praises of comfort in the footwear department. These boots however let me look like a lady without that ball burning, arch destroying pain that leads me to being super cranky… lets just say Mariah Carey has nothing on my diva antics when I’m in pain ha!
