There’s just something about a well cut double breasted suit that I simply adore, even better is seeing the boy in one but I digress. I have pretty much always wanted a double breasted suit after wearing this Alberta Ferretti number for a shoot a while ago, so you can imagine just how happy I was when I spotted this affordable beauty on the Next website. Being a curvier girl I wasn’t sure how the suit would work around my rather blessed ahem “chest” area but the jacket fits great and I even took it in my usual size. YAY ME!!!

Tailoring has always has always fascinated me, the architecture of a garment is always in the back of my mind and having tailored myself I have a real appreciation for the effort it takes (one of my tailored jackets took me four weeks of both metaphorical and literal blood, sweat and tears to get the pattern correct).

To keep the look from being too business I styled it with metallic sneakers and headed of to various meetings and press days feeling super sassy and empowered. I’m definitely going to get more suits in rotation they simply rock! Like a dress a suit is just super easy to throw on.
