Since November 2010 when I bought my cape, Topshop has become one of my favourite highstreet stores.
They have an awful lot in store for us this Autumn/Winter. There ofcourse will be the always beautiful Unique line, but there is also Thrift which is vintage inspired clothing but new, lots of hand beating, fringing, delicate beadwork, pleats and pops of bright colour, its like everygirls idea dressing up box, the sillohuettes given out is a very feminine one and I’m quite looking forward to looking more ladylike glam as opposed to androgyny that most stores will be dishing out. Psychobilly which is all serious tailoring, faux furs, boldprints, slim cigarette trousers and simple tshirts with panes of silk. sweatshirts with faux fur and jumpers with leather sleeves, the skirt has been given a new length bye bye thigh high hellp midcalf.
When you think rock and roll on the highstreet you think Topshop Glamrock is inspred by the 70’s and its all glamourous no grunge in sight. shaggy fluro colored coats, miniskirt made from amber coloured feathers, parkas with fur lining and a heavy dose of clitter.
Bavaria is folk inspired, its functional winter wear thatr is indulget I saw some aran knits, smock dresses and alot of lashings of my fabric of choice velvet. There is a lot of hand crafting with the beading and embroidery.
I have a million and one pictures but we were given a 5 picture limit for the clothes and none too detailed so once I get the go ahead I’ll be posting more.
The tassel bag at the front is my favourite accessory.
