I get so many staycation requests from all of you that this weekend I stayed at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester to do a review for you demanding lot.
Getting to The Lowry Hotel is pretty easy if you get of the train at Salford Central its barely a two minute walk from there (usually when people say this I get super lost and end up half an hour late) but it really is less than two minites away.
The hotel -is spacious and very classically modern. It is a fairly large hotel and the room I stayed in was very spacious (4th Floor).
The room – very clean, the bed was massive and super comfortable I had no problems getting to sleep. There are two phone lines, satellite tv, an ipod docking station, walk in wardrobe, minibar, safe and if requested iron and ironing board as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
The bathroom – the bathroom is well equipped and there was an abundance of towels which is always good, The shower is in bath with a shower curtain.
The Location – It is a short walk across the canal into the centre and the concierge was very friendly and super knowledgeable about where to go and what to do which is always a big plus.
The staff -All the staff I encountered were very friendly and only too happy to help.
My only problem was that the Wifi didn’t work and for someone like me its a pretty big deal. It wasn’t working when I checked in up until I checked out at 12 the next day. Make sure you book the WIFI/internet connection online as you will be charged otherwise. Hotels having a strong WIFI connection is so important, so my advice would be for them to look into checking out other internet plans so they can make sure everyone has access. There are some great internet options and deals out there that businesses can go for, they just need to look. Especially in this day and age where the internet is now a necessity.
Loved the REN skin and hair care amenites. There was also a vanity kit (ear buds, shower cap, face paads etc) and a sewing kit.
Another gorgeous view over the canal.
You do have to request the tea and coffee but its complimentary.
Seating area on the fourth floor (near my room)
