Food|Gorgonzola &
 Green Vegetable Tagliatelle

This is one of my many quick and easy pasta recipes, I like my food packed with flavour and thats what the Gorgonzola does in this recipe however you can feel free to use your own cheese sauce recipe with this I know some people don’t like Gorgonzola.
Also you could use any type of pasta but I like Tagliatelle its my favourite you could also use any steam-able veg!

The Pasta – 9 minutes

I use two tagliatelle rounds for each person as I made dessert two I didn’t want them to full so id this is all you make make it 3 or2 and a half rounds.Cook according to instructions.

When cooked to your liking get a colander and wash with hot water (I hate the starchy stuff so I wash it off you do not have to)

The Veg – 6 minutes as soon as you set up the Veg start on your sauce!

I use a pot & steam combo cook according to the instructions I steamed for about 6 minutes.

When the pasta is cooked get a large pasta serving dish mix together and wait for the sauce to finish cooking.

The Sauce – 10 minutes
I didn’t take pictures at this point two hands three jobs
and all lol but the instructions are very simple

  • 1 & a half cups dry white wine
  • 1 and a quater cups cream
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 30g  Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • A healthy pinch of black pepper

  • 1. In medium saucepan, cook white wine over high heat until reduced by about half.
  • 2. Reduce heat add cream, and cook until reduced by  a third.
  • 3. Add parmesan, gorgonzola and pepper.
  • 4. Stir until cheeses melt and sauce is creamy.
  •  Immediately pour over the pasta and vegetable and serve. Add a little more black pepper et voila
So thats it it takes me 35 minutes from start to finish.

This is a crowd pleasing dish and I’m yet to hear complaints!

My mother who often tells me that a meal sans meat is to her African taste buds ‘nothing but a palette cleanser’ was asking for my recipe thats how good this is lol!
