Review| One Aldwych Martini Movies – IAMNRC

Review| One Aldwych Martini Movies

(dinner and a movie your way – a movie of your choice and a three course meal in Axis)
I was taken by lovely Abi
We started out evening off by having a cocktail in the bar, then we were taken to the screening room.
I went for a Martini with a Lemon Twist (Grey Goose Vodka shaken not stirred folks with a dash of dry vermouth) and Caramel Popcorn.

We watched The Five Year Engagement and it was truly hilarious.

What I liked about it was that it was cinema in an intimate and comfortable setting.
After the movie we were taken to the Axis Restaurant,
seated and then attended to by our lovely waiter
Our every need was anticipated and we didn’t have to keep attempting to gain attention
in order to get more drinks and we didn’t keep having our meal interrupted as is the now common dining experience.
The service was fantastic, the food more so.*There is a set menu but its different every time.
Complimentary – Sourdough bread, Wholemeal bread, Butter and Mushroom pate.
Leek and Potato soup
The bowl comes with creme fraiche in the middle and the soup is poured out from miniature pots.

Abi had Butternut Squash Velouté, Mushroom on Toast
Wild Mushroom Risotto
Abi went for the Pork Belly
And for dessert? We both had Sticky toffee pudding with Devon clotted cream
Abi and I both requested vanilla ice cream instead.

I had a fantastic evening and would recommend it.
You can also hire out a screen for a screening with friends.
